Conversation with AJF Canadian Ambassador
Organizational Social Communicator from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a master's degree in Corporate Social Responsibility from Eserp Business School, Spain. With experience in the government, academic and private sectors; in management, consulting, commercial and public relations positions, mainly in the Andean Area, Brazil and Mexico. Responsible for the organization of corporate events in Mexico, Ecuador and Peru, as well as participation in national and international fairs oriented to brand positioning and business and investor achievement; in the same way, for foreign companies interested in entering Colombia.
Expert in Humanistic Sciences of the Centro de Estudios Superiores of Salamanca, Spain; he obtained an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the Ateneo Regina Apostolorum in Rome, Italy; and a master's degree in Political Studies and International Relations from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana of Medellín. He has worked as a Commercial Manager for companies linked to distribution and mass consumption. He has held positions focused on business development and business innovation. His fields of expertise are distribution channels, pricing strategies, innovation and supply chain. He is currently the Director of Knowledge and Transformation at Inexmoda.
MARIE-EVE G. CASTONGUAY
Marie-Eve G. Castonguay is originally from Quebec City, and is currently based in Montreal, Canada. She holds a diploma from the École de Joaillerie de Québec (2011) as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing from NSCAD University (2013), in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She completed a four-year artist residency at Harbourfront Centre, in Toronto, where she was awarded a scholarship in 2014. She was granted with the Joya Award at Autor International Contemporary Jewellery Fair in 2015 and the Best of Wearable Artwork Award at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition in 2016. Her work was included in many exhibitions throughout Canada as well as in France, Romania, Austria, Spain, Greece the United-States and Finland. Creating her pieces like miniature sculptures that one can wear, she is interested in the close relationship we have with jewellery. Her work explores notions of belonging and intimacy.
On top of her artistic practice, Marie–Eve strives to be an active member of the arts and culture community through writing, curating and collaborating in various outreach projects. She co-founded MetalAid, a Canadian contemporary jewellery network, and she is currently the Art Jewelry Forum Canadian Ambassador.
